USER MANUAL - TELLUS

Technical Specifications:

  • Case: 38mm, 316L stainless steel;
  • Lug-to-Lug: 44.5mm;
  • Thickness without crystal: 9.90 mm;
  • Thickness with crystal: 10.10 mm;
  • Crystal: Sapphire Crystal with Anti-Reflective Coating;
  • Caseback: Sapphire Crystal caseback;
  • Water-resistant: 10 ATM/100 Mt;
  • Movement: Sellita SW216-1 (manual-winding, élaborée grade), ~42-hour power reserve, 28,800 VpH;
  • Complication: Small seconds at 6 o'clock;
  • Lume: Super-LumiNova® C3 on indices and hands.

⚠️ Never attempt to wind or set the time while wearing the watch.

Operating the crown while the watch is on your wrist applies lateral pressure to the winding stem. Over time, this angle can bend or break the internal mechanism. Always remove the timepiece and hold it securely in your hand before touching the crown.

POSITION 1: SCREWED IN

  • State: The crown is fully screwed down against the case.
  • Function: Water Resistance is active.
  • Action: Do not turn. To operate the watch, you must first unscrew it counter-clockwise.

POSITION 2: WINDING MODE

  • State: The crown is unscrewed but not pulled out.
  • Function: Manual Winding.
  • Action: Turn the crown clockwise to charge the movement.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Stop immediately when you feel resistance. The watch is fully wound.

To Secure (Back to Pos 1): Apply gentle pressure towards the case and then turn the crown clockwise. If it doesn't engage smoothly, unscrew slightly and try again. Never force it.

POSITION 3: DATE SETTING

  • State: Crown pulled out to the first "click".
  • Function: None.
  • Action: Since the Tellus design prioritizes symmetry and has no date window, this position is inactive (Ghost Position). If you find yourself here, simply pull the crown one more step to Position 4.

POSITION 4: TIME SETTING

  • State: Crown pulled out to the second/last "click".
  • Function: Setting the Time.
  • Action: Turn the crown to move the hands. Push the crown back to Position 2 and screw it down when finished.

Tellus offers a power reserve of approximately 42 hours.

To ensure consistent accuracy and prevent the watch from stopping, we recommend making winding a daily morning ritual.

Note: If the watch is left stationary for nearly two days (e.g., over a weekend), it will stop and require rewinding and resetting.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

  • Cleaning: Rinse your watch and rubber strap with fresh water after swimming in the sea or pool. Dry with a soft cloth.

  • Magnetism: Avoid placing your watch near strong magnets as they may affect accuracy.

  • Service: We recommend a technical check-up every 5 years.

  • ⚠️ Never over-wind: The mechanism has a hard stop. Respect it.

  • ⚠️ Never force the thread: Cross-threading the crown will compromise water resistance and requires professional repair.

INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY

It does not cover normal wear and tear, or damage resulting from accidents, negligence, or improper handling (e.g., failure to screw down the crown).
